Your invitation to Manchester: A Certain Future's 2015 AGM

-

Manchester: A Certain Future is the city’s action plan to reduce carbon emissions by 41%. The action plan is a stakeholder plan written by organisations from the city and so it is owned by the city.  And we all have a part to play.

Activities are taking place across the city to assist in meeting the targets of the plan, and we’d like to tell you more about this, and ask for your views and ideas for how the city can work together to tackle climate change.

Our AGM is taking place on Tuesday 07th July 2015 at the Town Hall in Manchester and we would love it if you were able to attend.

Sir Richard Leese will welcome attendees, followed by a presentation from me, the Chair, on the MACF Annual Report 2015. The keynote Speaker is Craig Bennett, the new Executive Director of Friends of The Earth.

There will be an opportunity to question the M:ACF Steering Group panel on progress made so far to reduce carbon emissions in the city and time to network with other delegates.  Doors will open at 5:30pm for a prompt 6pm start; a wine reception will follow around 7:30pm.

There are some big names involved in the plan and in the AGM so what a great opportunity to align your business or organisation to the city’s commitment to reduce its carbon emissions.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your involvement, please feel free to contact Steph Lynch: manchesteracf@gmail.com

Hope to see you there.

Gavin Elliott – Chair of the MACF Steering Group
